Coachella in the Bay
It’s officially April, and that means your news feeds and twitters are about to be inundated with “OMG COACHELLA!!” countdowns proceeded by “BEST WEEKEND OF MY LIFE!!!” recollections.
Since the mayhem surrounding last year’s sold out festival, Goldenvoice capitalized on indie hysteria and decided to make it two weekends. However, if you weren’t willing to fork over nearly 300 dollars in June without seeing the lineup, and were not hovering the purchase button the day more tickets were released in January, then you missed out on the most amazing experience yet again. Or did you?
Luckily, for San Franciscans our beloved city is just north of Indio, which means many of the bands are stopping to play shows in the Bay Area (at much cheaper prices). Unfortunately, some of the shows are already sold out, but you can still win tickets! Just be sure to download ThrillCall and cross your fingers. Check out our list of Coachella artists playing in the Bay:
4/11: Radiohead and Other Lives-HP Pavillion
4/12: Miike Snow-Fox Theater
4/12: Metronomy-Slims
4/15: The Big Pink-Slims tickets
4/16: SBTRKT-The Independent
4/18: Gotye-Bill Graham Civic Auditorium tickets
4/18: First Aid Kit-Slims tickets
4/19: Fitz & The Tantrums-Cal Academy of Science tickets
4/19: Bon Iver-Bill Graham Civic Auditorium tickets
4/22-23: M83-The Fillmore
4/24: Neon Indian-The Fillmore tickets
5/4: The Black Keys-Oracle Arena tickets
5/10: Snoop Dogg-The Catalyst, Santa Cruz tickets

very nice article
Saw Radiohead in April. They’re what every band should strive to be live. Most songs are completely different live than off the record, yet equally, if not more, entrancing. I featured some of their music in a recent post.
