Warriors Move to SF

This week has been an emotional roller coaster in basketball news. First, the Oklahoma City Thunder ousted the Lakers in a 5 game playoff series and then they released these shirts to fans. As a Seattle native and California transplant both of these events left me fuming. Not cool OKC, not cool. But then something good happened.

The Golden State Warriors are returning to San Francisco! During a press conference held this morning, Warriors owner Joe Lacob announced the team will return to the city where they started in 1962. The arena will be built on what is currently Pier 3o and 32 along the Embarcadero, and Lacob says the new arena will be “a multifaceted venue [with] public spaces, restaurants, retail shops and sports bars, [that] will be used for conventions and concerts.” (abcnews.com)

You think people will become fans now? Sure, we’re sold.
